Through Resolution 904 of August 28, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism (Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo) adopted the "Safe Travels" seal, developed by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) to optimize recovery efforts throughout the tourism sector by restoring confidence among travelers and making safe travel possible as restrictions on this sector are eased.

To this end, the international Safe Travels seal may be used by those who wish to carry it and are certified and have the right to use the "Check in Certificado" quality seal, created through Resolution 0576 of 2020.
