Catalina Santos Angarita
Catalina joined the firm in 2005 and, after completing her master's degree and professional experience abroad, she returned in 2012 to lead the Labor and Employment and Immigration Teams. She has more than 20 years of experience exclusively devoted to the areas of employment, social security and immigration law. During that time, she has advised companies in a host of matters related to individual and collective labor law and social security issues. She is also co-head of the ESG and Impact Investment team, leading social matters and especially focused on International Labor Standards, Business and Human Rights, compliance and social and employment matters for clients and their supply chain.
She also worked during 4 years as an associate of the employment area at Garrigues in Madrid (Spain) where she advised and represented in court Spanish and foreign companies in matters related to individual, collective and social security law.
Catalina is a graduate of the School of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and is admitted to practice in Colombia by the Consejo Superior de la Judicatura (2005) and in Spain by the Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid (2008). She obtained a LL.M degree in International Legal Practice at Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, Spain. She also obtained an Executive Master degree in Business Law from Centro de Estudios Garrigues, in collaboration with the Harvard Law School in Madrid, Spain. She has additional studies in Labor and Social Security law at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and more recently she completed studies in Business and Human Rights with Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Tirant Lo Blanch.
