Pursuant to Resolution 1296 of 2020 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified the following measures that will remain in place during the health emergency measures that are currently in place until May 30th  to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

• The foreigners that are currently in Colombia may file visa applications before the Ministry of Foreign Affairs following online procedures.
• Visitor Visa holders may not apply for a visa in a different category. 
• The suspension of the validity terms of the following visa types for the foreigners who are currently outside of Colombia:
  • Visitor Visas for the provision of temporary services or intracompany transfers.
  • Migrant Visas regardless of the activity. 
• The suspension of terms for the anticipated termination of visas for absence of the Colombian territory.
• The suspension of terms for stamping approved visas.
• The suspension of terms to issue and collect approved passports. 
• The suspension of terms for the process of renunciation of nationality.
• The suspension of terms for the process of recovery of nationality.
