On October 30th, 2020, the National Hydrocarbon Agency held the public hearing for the offer submission for the third cycle of the Permanent Process of Area Allocation (“PPAA”). The bids were submitted by the companies CNE Oil & Gas S.A.S. y Parex Resources (Colombia) Ltd., as follows:

The offers were presented on the following areas: VIM 43, VIM 44, VMM 47, LLA 134, located in the Lower Magdalena Valley, Middle Magdalena Valley and Llanos Basins. The estimated investments initially proposed for the development of the exploratory programs have an approximate value of US$ 40 million dollars.
It is worth remembering that the 14 companies already qualified for the third cycle of the PPAA will have the opportunity to submit counteroffers for the areas mentioned above on November 17, with the possibility for the first offeror in each area to submit the best option on November 30. The areas that are the subject of counteroffers will be allocated on December 14; otherwise, if no counteroffers are received, the allocation of areas will be made on November 27.
