By means of resolution 305 of March 17, 2020, the Colombian Superintendence of Finance suspended the terms for all administrative actions that are carried out before said entity until April 8, 2020. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the duty to submit to the Superintendence the Representative Offices’ annual report through the legal representative’s email remains in force, therefore it must be submitted to the Superintendence of Finance no later than March 31, 2020 in the conditions indicated in the External Circular 29 of 2014 (Circular Básica Jurídica).
However, taking into account the measures adopted by the National Government to contain the spread of COVID-19 and with the aim of mitigating the economic effects derived from it, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, through Decree 434 of 2020, extended the deadline to carry out the Representative Office’s registry renovation before the Chamber of Commerce.
In this sense, Article 1 of the Decree extended the term that expired on March 31, 2020 until July 3, 2020.
