New term is established to access Special Permit of Permanence (PEP)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended the deadline to access the Special Permit of Permanence (PEP) for Venezuelan nationals who have been in Colombian territory since August 31, 2020, and meet the following requirements: 
1. Be in Colombian territory on the date indicated.
2. Entered the national territory through a Migration Control Post authorized with a passport.
3. Do not have a judicial record at the national and international level.
4. Do not  have an expulsion or deportation measure in force.
The term to request the Special Permit of Permanence (PEP) will be four months, counted from the date of publication of the resolution, that is, from September 23rd, 2020.
The Special Permit of Permanence (PEP) will expire automatically without any pronouncement from the immigration authority, when its holder is authorized a Colombian visa.
