March 24th, 2020
As a measure to contain the Coronavirus COVID-19 and to prevent associated diseases, through Resolution 450 of 2020, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection modified paragraphs 2.1. and 2.2. of Article 2 of Resolution 385 of 2020 by limiting, from five hundred (500) to fifty (50), the number of people allowed in events or activities.
Concretely, paragraphs 2.1. and 2.2. of Article 2 of Resolution 385 of 2020 were amended as follows:
- Suspend events with a capacity of more than fifty (50) people. The local authorities must carry out surveillance and control actions for the timely and effective compliance with the measure.
- Order mayors and governors to evaluate the risks for the transmissibility of COVID-19 in activities or events that involve the concentration of people in a number of less than fifty (50), in closed or open spaces and, based on the above, determine whether the event or activity should be suspended. If it is not suspended, those responsible for organizing the activities or events must ensure compliance with the protocols and preventive health measures established by this Ministry, as well as the recommendations established in External Circular Letter No. 11 of March 10, 2020.
