The Superintendence of Notaries and Registry, by means of Resolution No. 3130 of March 24, 2020 adjourned terms for ongoing procedures, proceedings, administrative actions, disciplinary actions and registry procedures before its agencies, including Public Registry Offices, from March 24 to April 12, 2020. Therefore, the term of all procedures, such as the registry of a public deed, shall resume on April 13, 2020.

Additionally, there shall be no customer service in the Public Registry Offices of Colombia nor in the administrative offices of the Superintendence of Notaries and Registry until April 13, 2020.

Nonetheless, the following services shall continue to be rendered through the web page of the Superintendence of Notaries and Registry:

• Issuance of registry certificates.
• Issuance of no ownership certificates.
• Counter for Registration (Ventanilla Única de Registro).
• Owner index search.
• Urban licenses search.
• Inheritance settlement search.
• Departure authorization of minors.

Notary on-site services and transportation to Notary Offices are expressly permitted during said period, as set forth under Decree 457 of 2020.

Ongoing proceedings, procedures, hearings or other contractual acts of agencies of the Superintendence of Notaries and Registry shall not be adjourned unless otherwise set forth by the Secretary-General of this entity due to Government instructions regarding the health emergency caused by Coronavirus Covid-19. 

In addition, by means of Resolution No. 3133 on March 24, 2020 the Superintendence of Notaries and Registry modified temporarily the schedule of the Notaries in Colombia from March 24 until April 12, 2020. The Notaries located in municipalities that have only one or two Notaries shall operate two days a week from 10:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M., while Notaries located in the other municipalities shall operate in the same schedule on the dates set forth under article 2 of said Resolution.
