By Decree 0129 of March 18, 2020, the Governor of the Archipelago Department of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina decreed the situation of public calamity until May 30, 2020. Some of the measures ordered are the following: prohibit arrival and departure tourist and recreational vessels, prohibit the entry of foreign tourists, suspend public crowds.

Additionally, through the Decree, citizens were directed to personal self-care, with measures such as avoiding direct contact with other people, and also collective self-care with measures such as work at home.
