The National Government, through Decree 878 of June 25, 2020, enabled the implementation of pilot plans for on-site food services to the public - in person or to the table - by commercial establishments, as well as religious services that may involve the gathering of people, as long as they comply with the biosecurity protocols issued by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection (Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social) for the implementation of these activities.

The mayors of municipalities and districts, coordinated with the Ministry of the Interior (Ministerio del Interior), may authorize the implementation of these activities.

Additionally, Decree 878 extended the effects of Decree 579 of May 28, 2020, which was amended by Decree 847 of June 14, 2020, until July 15, 2020.
