By means of Decrees 2360 and 2361 of December 26th, 2019, the Colombian National Government defined in 6% the increase of the minimum monthly statutory salary for year 2020 in Colombia.  This represents an increase of COP $49,686.

In this sense, as of January 1st, 2020, the new minimum monthly statutory salary will be of COP $877,803, and the new transportation allowance, applicable for employees earning up to 2 minimum monthly statutory salaries will be of COP $102,854; for a total of COP $980,657.

This decision was taken since an agreement between the Colombian National Government, entrepreneurs and the employees was not reached. The employee representatives requested an increase of one million pesos, including the transportation allowance.

To this extent, the minimum integral salary for year 2020 will be of COP $11,411,439.

The minimum monthly statutory salary and the transportation allowance have national applicability.
