The tool developed by ANLA as part of the evaluation and monitoring strategy allows all stakeholders in the framework of environmental impact studies and participation mechanisms to have access to information that serves as a reference framework to prioritize, standardize significant environmental impacts that may be generated in a given region or watershed by licensed activities, and also allows prioritizing the evaluation proceedings of the environmental authority.
This tool is composed by three modules: (i) hierarchization of impacts by political area (ii) hierarchization of impacts by geographic by zone and sub-zone, and (iii) hierarchization of impacts by sector and sub-sector. Each of these modules simplifies the categorization and presentation of the information during the process of environmental licensing and strengthens the analysis in the evaluation and follow-up of environmental licensing, by using pre-stablished variables for its monitoring and control.
This instrument includes a supporting document that contains all methodological elements and main results up until 2020, in terms of environmental impacts. It will continue to be updated annually.
