These are the measures to be taken by the National Government regarding the SOAT

By means of a press release, the National Government announced the measures regarding the mandatory insurance for traffic accidents (“SOAT”) with which it intends to counteract problems associated with fraud, evasion, outdated regulations and road accidents, as well as to ensure the sustainability of the SOAT and the medical care of victims of road accidents.

The measures announced are the following:

The continuity of the measures will depend on the evaluation of their impact on two relevant aspects: (i) the reduction in road accident rates and (ii) cases of improper use of insurance.

 


 

Modifications to the regulation on planning and allocation of the radio spectrum in Colombia

The National Spectrum Agency issued the resolution through which the definition of 1200 MHz under the modality of free use in the 6 GHz band indoors and low power was produced.

This resolution incorporates a range of frequencies to the WAS (Wireless Access Systems) application, as detailed in the following table:

The regulation also contemplates the specific operating conditions in the 5925 - 7125 MHZ band and the obligation of the National Spectrum Agency to publish on its website the National Frequency Band Allocation Table together with its modifications and updates, which may be freely consulted by interested parties.
