Gobierno modifica Registro de Usuarios del Recurso Hídrico (RURH)

Through Decree 1210 of 2020, the national government modified Decree 1076 of 2015, which corresponds to the Single Regulatory Decree of the Environment and Sustainable Development Sector (DURSADS), in the sense of modifying the Register of Users of Water Resources (RURH) and the components of this.

This, by means of Article 279 of Law 1955 of 2019, which establishes that wastewater from individual basic sanitation solutions used for the treatment of domestic wastewater from dispersed rural homes will not require permission to discharge it into the ground that are designed under the parameters defined in the Technical Regulation of the Drinking Water and Basic Sanitation Sector (RTSAPSB), however, said discharge must be registered in the RURH, which forced its regulation for this type of users.

Also, for the purposes of registering the information, the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development, within a maximum period of one year, counted from the entry into force of Decree 1210, must adjust the format with its respective instructions for the RURH.
