The DNP presents a CONPES document, which declares the strategic importance of investment projects for the implementation of actions leading to low-carbon development and sustainable development for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the capture and analysis of hydrological and meteorological information. This CONPES will be developed between 2022 and 2025, with a budget of 187,457 million colombian pesos.

This CONPES is being developed under the framework of CONPES 4075, which aims to promote the transition process and set concrete actions that constitute a public policy for energy transition that can be implemented and developed in the country until 2028. 

Thus, the recent CONPES 4088 proposes to implement seven projects aimed at: (i) developing actions for the conservation and sustainable use of ecosystems to reduce greenhouse gases; (ii) strengthening technical capacities to obtain hydrological and meteorological information for climate change management; (iii) promoting low-carbon agricultural and forestry development; and (iv) strengthening technical and financial processes in the industrial manufacturing sector to reduce greenhouse gases.
