New measures on payment of customs taxes

Through Decree 955 of 2022, the National Government adopted measures for six months to exclude from the taxable base for the determination of the customs value of imported goods, 100% of the transportation and related expenses of goods included in 200 tariff subheadings, in accordance with the faculty granted by Decision 894 of the Andean Community.

Bill on digitization of justice in Colombia to Presidential approval

The Congress of the Republic approved the conciliated text of the bill by means of which "the text of Legislative Decree 806 of 2020 is converted into permanent legislation and measures to implement information and communications technologies in judicial proceedings, expedite judicial processes and make the attention to the users of the justice service more flexible are adopted".

Among the provisions approved are those regulating the use of information and communications technologies, special duties of the procedural parties, files, powers of attorney, lawsuits, hearings, personal notifications, and appeals.
