Bioseguridad turismo

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism by means of Resolution 576 of 2020, created the quality seal “Certified Check in” which seeks to certify airlines and tourism services providers that comply with the biosecurity protocols. With this, the Colombian Government seeks to generate trust in touristic services and the recovery of this industry in the mid and long term.

The request for this certificate is voluntary and shall be issued by entities recognized by the Colombian National Certification Organism (Organismo Nacional de Acreditación), prior review and verification, by an auditory visit, of compliance with the applicable biosecurity protocols for each service subject to certification. These entities shall have up to 45 days following receipt of the request to decide upon the certification and grant the “Certified Check in” seal.

The evaluation entity shall perform an annual audit to renew the certificate and the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce shall perform inspection, oversight and control of the usage of the seal.
