Paola Guerrero Yemail
Director of the Litigation, Arbitration and Insolvency Team, with 13 years of experience. Currently, she is in charge of the Firm's Insolvency & Restructuring practice. She represents companies and financial entities as creditors in complex insolvency proceedings before the Superintendency of Companies and other authorities, in cases related to air transport, public transport, infrastructure, telecommunications, real estate sector, private ports, international suppliers, among others. Paola also represents business groups on cross-border insolvency proceedings and provides legal advice to companies before and during a bankruptcy, restructuring or disinvestment process.
Additionally, she is part of the structuring of financing transactions, project finance, infrastructure, M&A, telecommunications, among other projects, contributing to the risk analysis, constitution and enforcement of security interests, and the strategy related to trusts. Paola also represents companies in business and corporate governance disputes.
She graduated with honors from Universidad de la Sabana, holds a postgraduate degree in International Business Law from Universidad de los Andes, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) and a Business Law certificate from California University, Berkeley (Berkeley Law School). National and international scholarship winner (Universidad de la Sabana, Universidad de Salamanca-España, Colfuturo and Northwestern University). Co-founder of the International Arbitration Association at Berkeley Law School.
