Olga María Mutis Ordóñez
Ms. Mutis completed a Bachelor of Law at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, a master’s in applied economics at Universidad de los Andes and was awarded an LLM degree as a Fulbright scholar at The University of Chicago Law School.
During her practice, she has advised diverse types of private clients and governmental entities on antitrust law, intellectual property, privacy, and corporate law. Her experience includes handling trademark portfolios, and guiding clients during antitrust investigations and mergers and acquisitions, in addition to advising compliance schemes regarding antitrust law, unfair competition and consumer protection law.
Before joining BU, Ms. Mutis served as an international consultant for an American Center of Studies where she advised IADB projects in LATAM, spent a period at the Office of International Affairs of the Federal Trade Commission and worked as legal counsel for the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce. Furthermore, she was a member of the legal team of one of the country’s premier media outlets and worked as an associate for a leading boutique telecom & antitrust law firm in Colombia.
Ms. Mutis is an Adjunct Professor at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2018 on Antitrust Law, Contract Law, and the Workshop on Economic Law. Ms. Mutis also teaches Economic Law at the LLM program at UNAB University in Bucaramanga.
