Jordi Enrique Buitrago Soetendal

As a member of the Banking and Financial Services team, Jordi advises national and foreign financial institutions and companies on corporate and structured financing, as well as on regulatory matters. He also has experience in advising local and foreign clients on matters related to the prevention of money laundering, terrorism financing, and corruption, as well as on representing local financial institutions before the Financial Superintendence of Colombia, the Nation's Attorney-General's Office, and colombian courts. Jordi joined the firm in 2024. He attended the University of the Andes' Law School, where he earned his J.D. with a minor in International Studies in 2022, and a Post-Graduate Degree in Financial Regulation in 2023. Before joining Brigard Urrutia, he worked at two prestigious Colombian law firms, as a member of their banking, finance, and capital markets, and white-collar crime and compliance teams.
