Andrés Felipe Parra
Senior Associate of the Infrastructure and Public Utilities team, with emphasis in the energy market and regulatory knowledge of the provision of public utilities. He has been a member of the firm as from 2012. He is a lawyer graduated from the U. Andes, with postgraduate studies in administrative law from the U. Externado and and International MBA from EAE Business School in Spain. Since becoming a part of the firm, Andres Felipe has been characterized for his technical and regulatory knowledge of the energy sector, advising national and international clients in the structuring and development of projects where energy plays a fundamental role. He has advised construction and commissioning activities of power generation projects, regulatory processes before the Sector's authorities, advised Clients with respect to administrative procedures initiated by the Superintendence of Public Utilities and/or the Energy and Gas Regulation Commission. He has provided advise to regulated and non regulated users in the process of structuring their energy projects, as well as negotiating for them the energy supply and connection agreements, among other specialized contracts in the sector. He has also provided advise to agents of the energy market in the preparation and consolidation of comments to be filed before the regulatory authorities which could have an impact on their operations (CREG, SSPD and SIC, mainly). He has recently initiated the process of advising national and international Clients in the development of hydrogen based projects (either blue and/or green hydrogen) with the purpose of providing advise in our Client's processes of reduction of carbon emissions. In addition, he has advised national and international clients in the procurement and negotiation of energy efficiency contracts, with the purpose of reducing the electric demand using technical mechanisms to reduce their energy consumption.
