Associate of the tax area of ​​Brigard Urrutia. Advises Colombian and foreign companies and individuals on tax planning and tax effects of their operations, project finance, issuance of securities, corporate reorganizations, including M&A operations. He also advises clients regarding their tax disputes tax administrations.

Before joining the firm, he worked as Tax Lawyer for the Colombian National Tax Office ("DIAN") drafting and deciding tax disputes of high relevance. Additionally, he led modernization projects at the entity, and represented it at the OECD's "Inspectors Without Borders" program.

Andrés has been part of the tax team of two Big Law firms in Colombia, advising multinationals and individuals in their national and international operations.

He has experience abroad, working as a consultant in the International Tax Team of Ernst & Young U.S., LLP (EY US) in Tysons, VA. He also worked as a foreign intern on the National Tax Policy Team at the law firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP in Washington, D.C.
