Juan Carlos Padilla

Senior Associate at Brigard Urrutia since 2021. Mr. Padilla has more than 13 years of experience in natural gas industry. Juan Carlos has advised on issues of natural gas supply and transportation contracts as well as on legal issues that may arise throughout the natural gas production, transportation, and commercialization chain in Colombia He worked as legal advisor for the natural gas management and international crude oil and products management from Ecopetrol. He also worked for Transportadora de Gas Internacional S.A. E.S.P.as an advisor for LNG projects and regulatory and commercial matters related to natural gas transportation. 

Mr. Padilla is an attorney licensed to practice law in Colombia. He holds a master’s degree in International Business Law (LL.M.) at ESADE University Barcelona (Spain) and a postgraduate degree in Mining and Petroleum Law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia.

Furthermore, Juan Carlos is a professor at the Universidad Externado de Colombia, teaching short courses related to Colombian natural gas regulation.
