Migration Colombia adopts the protocol for immigration control for entry and exit through the air control ports in light of the reopening of international flights.

In accordance with Resolution 2232 of September 17th, 2020, the Special Administrative Unit Migration Colombia adopted the protocol applicable to immigration control procedures of entry and exit, in light of  the reopening of the international air operation in the context of the Coronavirus COVID-19.
The protocol contains the obligations that travelers and Migration Colombia must meet before, during and after the trip.
Among the obligations that travelers must observe, it is important to highlight the following:

  • Fill out the Check-Mig online form, either to advance the exit or entry process to the national territory. This process can be done from 24 hours to 1 hour before the trip.
  • Prove a negative Covid-19 PCR test taken no more than 96 hours before the flight.
  • Maintain the measures of distancing and disinfection of hands according to the airport signs.
  • Comply with current biosafety protocols.
  • Automatic Migration and / or Biomig services will be enabled at the airports that have them and for the use of previously registered travelers.

Among the obligations that Migration Colombia must observe, it is important to highlight the following:

  • Verify that travelers have all their travel documents.
  • In the case of foreigners in the process of entry, visas will only be required for non-restricted nationalities, as well as for those who require a visa due to their activities in the country.
  • In the event that a possible case of Covid-19 is detected in a patient, Migration Colombia must activate the protocol Public Health Event of International Importance - ESPII.
  • Apply the biosafety protocols designed by the national government and by the entity together with the Labour Risk Administrator (ARL) and suggested by the health authorities, as well as provide personal protection elements

In turn, the airport operators should disseminate information on the protocols for distancing and health prevention. Additionally, they must implement and monitor thermal cameras to determine the temperature of multiple passengers quickly and with real-time reporting, and guarantee the presence of health professionals in all terminals.
