Mr. Moreno is team leader of the Tax and Transfer Pricing teams at the Firm and is also a member of the Trust and Estates practice. He has extensive experience in company acquisition processes, corporate restructuring and international financing. He worked for two years in the New York office of Ernst & Young, after being admitted to practice in that same state.

He has advised national and international companies as Bancolombia, ISA, Isagen, Grupo Argos, Grupo Falabella, UBS and Univisión. Likewise, he advises companies in the hydrocarbon and mining sectors.

He is member of the Board of Directors of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the Colombian Institute of Tax Law (ICDT). He is also Professor of the postgraduate degree in International Taxation at Universidad EAFIT.

Mr. Moreno is a graduate of the School of Law of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He earned an LL.M at New York University School of Law, where he was beneficiary of the Wallace Scholarship. He has a postgraduate degree in Customs Law at Universidad Externado de Colombia and in Tax Law at Universidad de los Andes.
He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and Colombia. 

He has been recognized by important international publications as Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and Latin Lawyer 250, highlighting his leadership in Tax and Transfer Pricing practice.



Brigard Urrutia’s partner, he joined the firm in 2005. He worked at Ernst & Young LLP, NY as foreign associate. 

Educational Background

Lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He holds a postgraduate degree in Customs Law from Universidad Externado de Colombia and in Taxes from Universidad de los Andes. He also holds an LL.M in International Tax from New York University School of Law.
